Belly piercing?

ok so i am 14 and want to get my belly pierced. but my mom thinks i should wait. i want to know what u think? im respectfull,make good grades, and help out alot im a very good child...so please comment and tell me what u think

as a parent myself i'd say you should wait even as a kid myself i say you should wait. I'm 18 and what i found out is that belly piercings and tongue piercings only entice guys and that may not be good in the long run

Sorry, I'm with your mom.  I think you should wait until you're 18 and then make that decision.  I wanted to get mine done as a teenager too but my mom told me I had to wait.  I'm glad that I did, because then when I was old enough to make the decision on my own, I knew I really wanted it.  I got mine at 18 and still have it 9 years later.  Good luck with it!

I had mine done when I was 18 and I regret it. I now have an ugly scar from having babies and the skin isnt strong enough to hold up a ring anymore so its just a hole.

Think about what you do to your body, you only have the one and somethings you just cant take back.

This goes for tattoos too.

I think you should wait. You may be a good girl and only want it cuz you think its cute but it sends a message a mixed message to boys and your elders. I would wait until your junior year in highschool at least.

I got my belly pierced when I was 15. I do not think it is a big deal.

14 is an OK age

but keep in mind if you ever decide to have kids you'll have to take it out, and the hole will stretch and your scar will get bigger...

so are you saying your mom is okay with it? if you really want one you can consider it...but if your mom changes her mind or says no than you should respect her decision...ask your mom why she thinks you should wait and then make your decision

i want one too but my parents won't even let me paint my nails!!!

I think its stupid that parents make you wait.

Its your body.

Its just the way you express yourself.

By the time i was 16 i had 9 piercings, and 2 tattoos.

I mean its not like piercings are perment.

you can take them out.
