Alright so a bit over a month ago i got my labret and belly done..well my labret was fine with no problems at all, and so was my navel till about the 2nd week, and it started to hurt more, and become redder..i thought that maybe i snagged it on something while i was sleeping and reset the healing period or something..but now its scabby and sorta green and pretty gross..

  1. i got my belly button pierced two years ago, and mine got really infected like yours. instead of going to the doctor or having it checked out, i just tried to clean and take care of it myself. what eventually happened was that the skin between both ends of my belly button split to where it could no longer hold the ring. at that point i went to a doctor and he said i should have come earlier because with the infection my body tried to push the unfamiliar object (the ring) out of my body..and it succeeded. so i recommend going to a doctor, or even the person who pierced it to get something to help clear up the infection.

    good luck :]

  2. Sucks for you

  3. clean it 3 times a day with bactine.

and if you can buy H20ocean spray. it works wonderfully.

if its pussing than thats a good sign.

its not infected. and infected piercing would be red surrounding the whole belly button and would hurt terribly. you wouldnt be able to have a shirt touch it.

so your fine. its just new and your body's getting used to it.

  4. Take a shot glass with some luke warm water and some sea salt.  dissolve the salt in the water, put into the shot glass and hold glass over belly button for about 15 min. twice a day.  Your belly button is definitally infected, and the sea salt will help clean it out.  make sure to wash it with ANTI-BACTERIAL soap twice a day as well.  You need to clean out that infection.  Also put a little neosporin on a q-tip, put on the belly button hole where ring is, and twist the ring around and get the neosporin in the hole.  That helps infection from getting worse.  I had the same problem and these steps helped clear it up very quickly.

  5. Go to the place you got it pierced, or to a tattoo or piercing shop and get saline spray for it.  Whether it's infected or not, which it looks/sounds like it is, the saline spray will clear it up.  If you can't find the spray, you can make your own.  Use hot water, as hot as you can stand it, and put a lot of salt in it.  Soak your piercing in it.  It should clear it up in a couple days.  Same thing happened to me.

  6. I got my belly button pierced about 6 weeks ago....i use Hydrogen Peroxide 6% to clean it 3 times a day. It really pulls the puss out (minging i know) and heals it alot better than just using the saline solution to clean it.

You should maybe try that before contemplating taking it out. Mines was all red like yours, but the peroxide has cleared it right up. =] xx

  7. Don't take it out don't tale it out! the infection will close up inside the piercing and it will end up worse. Bathe it with sea salt and water. Hopefully it should sort itself out, if not, go back to your piercer, ask for advice.

  8. omg! you should of gotten a barbell ring!

buy some sea salt at your local grocery store

pour a little bit into a cup of hot water

and turn the cup over onto your belly so that you can swish the water around your piercing

do this 3 times a day itll start clearing up soon

    :]

  9. TAKE IT OUT DRR

    It's already too infected

I had too do the same with my ear

  10. thats disgusting hun go c a doctor

  11. It takes a long time for bellies to heal.  Make sure you are using the products the piercer told you to use and not other stuff.  Alcohol can really irritate piercings.  If it doesn't improve soon, see a doctor.

  12. Swab it down with some alcohol, or remove it... Maybe some peroxide

  13. you should probably get something for that.

  14. Yes it is, although it appears to be at the surface level.

You have 2 choices: go to the dr for a prescription antibiotic cream or pick up some polysporin.

Infection can be very serious - do not let it go, get it checked.

  15. that is one ugly bellybutton

  16. Hunny, that is definately infected... You need to go see a doctor so they can put you on antibiotics. You may need to take the piercing out if it doesn't heal up soon.

  17. I got my belly button pierced when I was about 11 or 12 years old and now I am 14. Mine got infected at first but all you have to do is wash it with salt water and a cloth every night (you have to keep it really clean to begin with) but after a few months it will look and feel perfectly fine! Sometimes I forget I have my belly button pierced because I've had it done for so long, but it becomes a part of your body and you'll look at your stomach and you wont be able to imagine yourself without it, I'm serious!

  18. nope its not infected its just trying to heal and

u just got it done! trust me i have my belly button

periced i had the same red ness at the top

for a month because i was cleaning it with the wrong

thingss and irratating it and when i say wrong things i mean

    rubbing alchol, bactine, hydogen proxcide,

AND YOU DONT WANT TO USE THAT!!

sea salt thats all u need! 2 times every day.

    you'll be good . =]

sorry i sux at spelling engilsh is my second languge

  19. yeah. that looks pretty infected.

i'd get it checked out. there might be soap inside of the hole too, like from your shampoo or body wash.

i'd go to the place you got it done and check it out.

  20. My advice is take it off, let it heal, use antibiotic cream or something, and try again in a few months.
