Below par performance in the tour game is not a cause of concern, says Chris Woakes - Cricket News Update
The England all-rounder, Chris Woakes, agreed that his side gave an out of sorts performance with the bat in the first tour game against Hyderabad Cricket Association XI; however, he said that the batting failure in the tour game
was not a cause of concern for the tourists as it was a decent win for them at the end of the day.
"We would obviously have loved to put up a bigger score," said Woakes while talking to the media reporters after the match.
"They fielded very well and pulled off some brilliant catches. There was some poor shot selection. We are not worried. It was a decent win in the end," he added further.
England, in their first practice game against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/RS-Bopara-c2373 and Chris Woakes helped
the visitors to a respectable total of 219.

over.
Woakes expressed contentment over his performance with the new ball. He however, said that it was a bit difficult to get used to the conditions early on.
"It is an honour to take the new ball for England. It was good. The wicket was a bit two-paced and the length was very important."
When asked whether he was happy with playing down the batting order, the England all-rounder, who is yet to debut in the Test cricket, said that batting position does not matter as such. However, he said that it would be nice to
bat up in the order.
