Ben Arfa on the verge of joining Newcastle

One of the hottest properties in the football world is, French prodigy, Hatem Ben Arfa. Ben Arfa has been on the radar of almost every team since the player arrived as a teenager to Lyon. The midfielder was associated with the likes of Ribery and Zidane within weeks of making his debut on the professional level.
Though highly talented, the player does happen to have some sort of an ego issue. The player left Lyon without properly negotiating a move away from the team, to join Marseille. The player stated that the reason for him for doing so was because he felt that he needed more playing time which, he was not getting at Lyon and knew that he would have to move to achieve his goal on joining the French national team.
That is exactly what happened, the player was phenomenal for Marseille and was easily the stand out performer on the team for the last couple of seasons. In fact his performances have been so great that he has constantly been attracting attention from various English teams, who felt that they could use the players services.
The player had been linked to teams like, Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City in the past. However the player decided not to join those teams because he was well aware of the fact, that he would have to ride it out on the bench for most games.
Marseille have claimed today that they are now in advanced talks with Newcastle about the player. Ben Arfa is scheduled to arrive in England today to discuss a possible transfer to the team. The French team have stated that a deal has already been agreed between the two teams and they are now waiting for the player to finalize the move, so that he may be unveiled to the Newcastle fans as early as Sunday.
According to the Marseille president, "I think they will now agree," "If that happens, I think we will quickly see Ben Arfa in Newcastle colours. I hope they agree."
In the start of the month the French player went on to a strik and did not appear in trainings signalling that he was not happy at the club and wished to move out. The player seemes to have got his wish as he might be playing in the English Premier League as soon as next week.
Some club representatives weren't happy with the players actions and were reported to have said, "Unfortunately for Hatem, and this is not just from me, his father has agreed also, he has not received good advice,"
"He is a good kid, but when I say kid, that is what I mean. His behaviour was very disappointing. There was an inability to get along and thrive in Marseille."
It will be seen tomorrow if the player agrees a move or not, either way this could be the biggest signing that Newcastle have managed to make in their recent history. Nonetheless, it is a move that will surely benefit the team and the player.
