Question:

Ben Cousins charge dropped?

I just wanted to post this in light of a previous question.

His charges were dropped yes. However this was only due to a stupid technicality that the actual officer that saw him driving didn't request the drug test, another officer did.

Its stupid, but I still feel as though west coast did the right thing. They set out specific rules for him, he broke them, and then he got sacked.

If he really can rehabilitate himself he will play again at another club which should be for the best (providing the AFL dont ban him for life).

Your thoughts?

  1. My thoughts are the same as always.

The more news coverage on Ben the better.

They keep on showing him getting arrested with no top on.

    I'm loving it...Bring it on!!!!

  2. Yeah thats true. No matter if there are charges or not, west coast madde the right decision for the club. They can't keep taking the blame for what cousins has done, and now he has to get off the drugs to play agian. He was rushed back into AFL, which was foolish. But he still has a lot of support behind him, and hopefully he can get it together and one day play again.

    good luck to him

  3. Thank goodness. Poor thing has been depressed because a good mate of his died and i feel for him deeply.

  4. It may have been a technical error that got him off, but the way he was treated by the media was still disgraceful.

WCE did the right thing to delist him - any club would have done the same thing.  He broke the club rules and has to pay the price accordingly.

  5. The Eagles had no choice but to de-list him mainly because he broke his contract by refusing the drug test in the first place.

I also hope he gets to play again but I think his health mentally and physically are more important.

  6. he got caught with a valium whoa!!!!!!!!!! shut the gate on cousins, great footy player!, terrible addict he wont comeback from this last stunt >  the 5 day coke binge in U.S will be to much he will not be rehabilitated unless he himself wants to stop
