He looks fantastic.

Collingwood (the biggest $ team in Victoria) is talking to him,and he could play for VFL Collingwood before then end of the year.

He has a Brownlow medal and a count most would be envious of.

  1. there welcome to him

so hes had a brownlow so had shane woewodin remember what an asset he was for the pies

  2. No - he will end up a bum, sleeping on a park bench.

  3. oh yeah im pretty confident he'll be back. Collingwood would be a club that would definately put a lot of effort into trying to get him. With him they could believe they could be a flag chance in the coming years.

All the eagles said cousins was the hardest worker on the training track so that mental toughness shows the younger blokes what you have to do to be great. As a richmond supporter i would love to have him down at the club.

  4. awesome player, id have him in my team for sure

  5. Have they not learnt from wayne Carey and others. He should be in gaol anyway- lucky he is in a country with such a weak *** legal system. - he may come back but wont be what you remember and the stories will be there under the surface-new ones. Best he go to Melbourne - they need any press they can find.

  6. Im sure he has the potential to play in '09 but from what I hear, his partying days are still alive and kicking...hes stuffed up his career and he should just move on and away from footy...

If he does come back to footy, I hope he plays for Carlton :P

  7. NO. Why, firstly Ben is about 30 now and is still a loaded gun .  Can you or would you put your trust in a confessed and should have been convicted Drug user.  Once a druggie always druggie.....  Sorry if I offended anyone, but they are my views.  What a waste!

  8. Well considering he never tested positive for drugs and got a bum rap from the media and public also  the AFL hierarchy then he deserves a second chance.

What makes me laugh is that people actually believe that Ben is the only player to take drugs when in fact he is only player that ever had the guts to admit he did.

So he can't be that big of a loser.

  9. yeah we will have him

so long as when we win the flag

he doesn't do any stupid dances

    every team has drug cheats

    they just haven't caught yet

  10. i think he will, put the drugs asides he is one of the most talented footy players around, you cant forget that type of quality

  11. Drugs can keep a good man down, unfortunately!!!

I would love to see him back next year.

    North Melbourne will take him...lol

  12. He's a washed up loser.

The less we hear about him and his pathetic antics, the better

  13. he'll be back

  14. Ooh.. Ooh.. Careful not to slander.. Hes not been charged with any drug related offences though there were some traffic and drinking offences..

He was a gun, though it has been a while now and age and confidence are hard demons to fight against let alone a possible substance abuse issue..

Though in saying that he could be an asset for a an established team but possibly a bad idea for those teams injecting youth and rebuilding..

Always good to see a fallen hero get back up and beat the odds, even though hes not my hero, he was my sons' so I hope Cousins does reclaim his life, for himself and all those who looked up to him..

  15. good men are hard to find in footy he isnt one of them

  16. He should be playing in the WA prison team, but for some reason a self confessed drug addict is clear in the eyes of the law.

ps. very easy to look very lean when you're on a substance that makes your metabolism go into over drive.

  17. he could be a chance, though id say not at west coast, another player let down by the incompetent west coast board/coaching staff.

but besides that i hope for his own mind, body and soul he makes a full recovery and gets the chance to play at the elite level or at least live a cleaner life,he was a gun player with tremendous fitness so why not?

  18. But he's also a repeat drug abuser, so I don't think it's too wise for Collingwood to pick him up (not that I really care what Collingwood do, Kanga supporter ftw). I think it's possible that he has changed, but I still hope that the Kangas don't go near him with a ten foot pole :) and if he really has changed, I suppose he deserves another chance as he is a pretty good player.

  19. Are you for real !!!!

he chose to take drugs and got caught, he played his best football without them, now he should be playing in the WAFL if at all , teach the clown a lesson (ban him outright)

  20. I'm sure a team will be desperate for a high class midfielder at the end of the year to select for next year.

  21. Cuzzy has never tested positive to ANY drugs. He deserves to play AFL next season just like any other player good enough to make the cut. I hope he comes to COLLINGWOOD and helps us to our 15th flag.

  22. Can he be trusted?  Is it worth the risk?  Bloody good win if it comes off...

  23. Well Benny is one of the best to ever play AFL, so I'd love to see him back. Of course I want him back in the old no. 9 of the Weagles, but I know that'll never happen. Still if he does come back I hope it's with any club other than the Magpies.
