http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ben-Foster-c7445 is delighted to have finally secured a permanent move to West Bromwich Albion after a season long loan spell at the club.
The 29-year old shot-stopper believes he has finally found a home at the Hawthorns after his loan agreement was converted to a permanent one on the 29th of June.
The club released an official statement on their website revealing the details of the three-year deal, which has an added two year extension option, which can tie the player to the club till 2017.
Foster said he was ‘over the moon’ after putting pen to paper and finalizing his move. The 6ft4in goalkeeper had been an instrumental figure in West Brom’s success last season, where the club managed ten clean sheets and their best ever Premier League defensive
record, conceding  just 52 goals in 38 games.
Foster had previously undergone 6 loan spells in 10 seasons as a professional goalkeeper. His last 37-game outing with West Brom look to be his last spell as a loaned player. Foster believes his time at the Hawthorns will be the defining moment of his career
and cannot wait to start playing next season.
Speaking to the club’s website, Foster said:
"This is my club and hopefully I'm going to settle in and have the best years of my career here"
"It's going to be strange to feel so settled."
"I've been on loan for many years of my career, so it's nice to know that this is my club now."
"I'm not doing it to impress people, or to see what I can get off the back of the move."
"This is a huge moment in my life, and in my career."
Foster’s exceptional performances for the team last season saw him being named the Supporter’s Player of the Year along with the Player’s Player of the Year. He now hopes to return the favor to his new club for instilling such faith in him.
Foster also revealed that the fans were a major factor in his decision to permanently stay with the Baggies. He later on talked about how much he enjoyed working with Roy Hodgson when he was in charge of the club and was looking forward to developing as
a player at West Brom.
"The fans accepted me so well and I always got such an amazing buzz off them last season," he said.
"I've got a special connection with them and joining the club was a bit of a no brainer because of that”.
Foster is the club’s first signing of the summer as the Baggies look to secure another top ten finish in theEnglish top flight.
New manager Steve Clarke will look to improve on their home form and sign more players in order to repeat the success of last season.
