Ben Spies seeks a podium at the Malaysian Grand Prix – MotoGP news
Ben Spies of Yamaha Factory racing is looking to attain a podium in the upcoming Malaysian Grand Prix scheduled two days from now.
He feels strange at the Sepang circuit where Marco Simoncelli lost his life in a fatal accident, last year.
MotoGP paid a tribute to the late Simoncelli because he lost his life in an accident at the same circuit last year. The Yamaha Factory Rider believes that he will be having strange feeling during the race however he will try to pay tribute to the late rider
in the best possible way. He told that he will be showing consistency by pushing maximum as he has always done.
Spies said, “It’s a strange feeling to come back here after last year. We will honour Sic in the best way we know how, by going out on track and giving 100% as always.”
He told that he has been facing issues with the brakes of his bike in the last Japanese Grand Prix and anticipates that they will not face issues in the upcoming race. Thus, they will be able to exhibit their potential by attaining a podium at the Sepang
circuit.
“Last weekend was yet another disappointment with brake issues, I really hope we can have a trouble free time here in Sepang and show our true podium potential,” the Yamaha Factory Racing rider said.

6 races he started.
The unlucky period of the Yamaha rider started after he announced retirement from the Yamaha team for the next 2013 season however he has been able to improve by finishing two races, San Marino Grand Prix and Aragon grand prix, at the 5th position.
