My Mother told me last time I took benadryl I broke out in a couple spot of hives, and it happens to her too. Today I took 25 mg, one pill, and it's been about 5 hours and no hives, do you think I've out grown the allergy, it was a coincidence or it just isn't a sufficient dose to cause the allergy. So I guess what I'm mainly asking is when someone has a allergie, is it zero tolerence or just high doses?

  2. yes you can grown out of it.

  3. Usually Benadryl is about the safest medicine to give a person, since it is an antihistamine. They are naturally occurring substances in the body that prevent allergies.
