Anyway first time I ever heard of this. Some attorney told me that if you pay a bench warrant fine to avoid going to jail, you will usually get your money back after

youve gone and rescheduled for a new court date and etc.

I have never heard of that, although im not an attorney most have told

me that there is an option for motion to recall a warrant, but none

have ever said, just pay the warrant and youll get a refund.

Sound like bs to you? But why would he lie? HmMMmm.

  1. If you fail to appear in court for ANY traffic ticket, misdemeanor or felony, a warrant will be issued for your arrest.  If you pay the warrant amount, the warrant will be recalled and quashed by the court.  You do NOT receive a refund of your money.

The money is either to pay a fine or secure your appearance in court.

  2. Sure, as long as the defendant completes his obligation to the Court.

However most Courts will deduct from the amount you entrust to them Court fees and and any fines.

Basically most places will take about $300-600 dollars or so.

    Good Luck

  3. Yes... I am sure what he meant was the bail amount you pay to stay out of jail. The money is just insurance that you will show up to the court date.

  4. i have never herd of that in my 25 years of service.
