Question:

Bending my knee too much in my swing?

I am a right handed golfer and whenever I swing I bend my left knee too much. I am taking lessons and my instructor keeps telling me and watching me to make sure I don't bend it as much. Whenever it isn't bended as much, I always have a better shot so I am trying to figure out the best way to keep my knee straighter. Its the same leg I tore my ACL on but thats better now, but I don't know if that could be a part of it. Anyway, does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks! :)

  1. You bend your knees just slightly (just like when you stand) but   Keep your weight on the back on your foot.   Not your toes.

  2. are you dipping in with your left leg...like toward the ball?  If so take a wedge or short iron, lay it to your left side pointing down your target line.  Let the grip end of the club rest on the outside of your left knee, so its propped up against you...now try to hit a ball without letting that club resting on your knee fall...if it doesnt fall then you didnt bend too much.  if this doesnt make sense email me and i will be more detailed.
