Benedetto hoping to rival Manchester United and Liverpool and in terms of revenue: Serie A news
A.S Roma President, Thomas Di Benedetto, has insisted that his club has the potential of matching English giants, Manchester United and Liverpool in terms of revenue.
Benedetto, who recently took over from Rosella Sensi, has made huge changes to the structure of the club from top to lower management. The American owner is looking to take the club to new heights in the near future and has revealed plans of making a new stadium too.
The 62-year-old is confident that A.S Roma will be among one of the best football clubs in the world in the coming five years and will also be a very attractive proposition for investors.
Benedetto said, “I see Roma five years from now being a team that is very successful on the pitch and very, very profitable as a business. Clearly teams like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 certainly has the potential to have those kinds of revenue numbers.”

Benedetto explained that he knew that it would take time for the club’s new playing philosophy to work and he demanded patience from fans as well.
“Early on, the Italian press was all over Luis, tried to be all over me, was somewhat critical, tried to get me to say things that would have been contradictory to Luis and I supported him 100 percent."
After a poor start to the season, the Giallorossi have bounced back strongly and are placed 6th in the league table with 8 points from 5 games played thus far.
