Benefit Cut tipped for a victory in Burton Overy Novices´ Hurdle
Benefit Cut will look to claim the Burton Overy Novices´ Hurdle at Leicester in England on Monday, November 19, 2012. He does not have a lot of experience, but is loaded with immense talent and can take his opponents by surprise in the class-4 contest.
All of the runners attracted towards this race do not have much experience of racing over hurdles, thus the competition amongst them is going to be a tough one. The spectators will definitely enjoy this situation and they will be eagerly awaiting the start
of action at 15:40 GMT.
There has been some rain at Leicester overnight, which has left the ground as soft. This will make the conditions more demanding, as the stallions will have to put in some extra effort in order to fight for a victory. The winner will be awarded a cash prize
of £3,899 at the end of the day.
Speed will not make a big difference in the race, as the overall distance to cover will be 2 miles. Therefore, all of the contestants will need to go out with a clever strategy. They should not push too hard, as there is always a chance of sustaining an
injury on a rain affected ground.
Looking at the performances of all the runners, the bookmakers have given the highest odds to Kaylif Aramis, who is yet to win a race in his career. His performances have not been bad though, thus there is a chance for him to make his team proud at the end
of the day.
However, the five-year-old gelding might not win the attention of the punters, as they would like to gamble more on someone who has been on the top of the table in the past.
The Nigel Twiston-Davies’ trained runner has appeared in one event over hurdles and he finished in third place in it. His performance was quite good, but he will need to make an improvement in order to claim his maiden victory in the sport.
On the other hand, Benefit Cut has got an experience of just one race and he managed to win it comfortably. He will look to repeat a similar show at Leicester under jockey, Tom O'Brien.
