Question:

Benefit vs Urban Decay?

I am about to purchase a base for eye shadow. But I am torn between Benefit's "lemonaid" and Urban Decay's "primer potion".

As you all know that both of them are a bit pricy. I dont want to purchase them and then regret in the end. I dont have an oily skin and I dont like greasy stuff either. Can anyone please give me suggestions or reviews on both items?

Many Thanks ;)

  1. I have tried lemonaid and it didn't work for me. I have very oil lids. I switched to urban decay primer potion, and I like it a lot. It makes your eyeshadow look more vibrant than the Benefit products. If you buy makeup products at Sephora you have till 90 days to return the product and get a full refund. Also, you may want to test the products while you are there on your arms to make swatches.

  2. Firsr of all, lemonaid is not a primer at all!  It is a colour correcting base you wear when you're not wearing any eye shadow.  It just evens your eye lid colour, so covers any viens and redness.

If you're looking for a Benefit primer, then you need to look at F.Y.Eye.  I've been using it for years, have converted all my family & friends into users and really wouldn't leave the house without applying it.  Shadows stay put all day and not one single crease - no matter if you're using creams, powders, whatever.

I've tried UD's Primer Potion & its good too, but the packaging really annoys me as there's basically 50% of the product you can never get at becuse of the shape of the container.  So for the price - not worth it IMO.  F.Y.Eye on the other hand lasts me a good 8-10 months & thats with every day application.
