  1. First thing, he'll be proud that he's in d**n good shape, especially if he's a bit older. This will also help him get in to certain schools like Airborne, Air Assault, Pathfinder, Ranger, and Special Forces Selection if he meets other MOS, rank, time in service and performance criteria. By itself, it's a relative rarity in Big Army and something to be proud of. Hooah!

  2. then he'll be put on an extended scale pt scorecard and be eligible for honor grad

  3. Not all make 300 on their test. For many of us just passing the test is a great accomplishment. The benefit for your husband is the self pride he gains knowing that he did better than probably 95% of his company. No doubt, it was probably hard for him to do it. It is something to be proud about.

  4. He will get a patch and it looks good when he is considered for a rank promotion (points).

  5. He might get a certificate of achievment.  Not sure if they still issue out PT patches or not.

Once he gets to his unit and he keeps it up he will still have to make morning formation but might be allow to do PT on his own.

  6. there really arent any "benefits" to getting a 300, except that it looks good to the higher ups....however, they will also always expect him to do that well so if he has an off day, everyone will wonder what the heck is wrong with him.

  7. out of anything else that may get listed on here, the MOST IMPORTANT thing he will get .... BRAGGIN RIGHTS!!!
