Benefits of having children young? In college with kids?

I want to have children in a year or so. I'm married and in college, but only 19. I have been obsessing about having children lately. I'm ready for the challenge of children, but will it be too much with school? Should we aleast get a house first? (We live in an appartment)

If i were you id wait for a few more years maybe, get a dog or something else.

i think you need a good steady income, allot of it!!! so you can save up and then you are ready for your baby,

Bring the baby into a happy place and a time when you have allot of money to spend on the baby.

I just graduated college and couldn't imagine having a child and still being able to finish on time, with the grades that I did.

I'd say, just stick it out and finish school (take summer classes to expedite it) and have a baby when you're more settled. Otherwise, you'll be looking at moving eventually, the stress of class, having to miss classes/assignments because the child ALWAYS comes first, etc.

I'm 23, working part time, and still feel like I will have my hands way full with a child.

I was 21 when I got pregnant with my daughter. At the time I was working full-time and going to school full-time. I ended up putting schooling aside for the time being and devoted 100% of my time towards the kids and household. I don't regret my decision one bit. It's really tough and stressful to balance full-time school and children. Once all our kids are in school I'll start school part time.

i am 16 and i have a son; although i am still in high school, i still manage at this point. Do what you think is best at this point, you are out on your own, you are married.  Really think about if you could manage a child with college, or maybe even think of the possibility of taking off a semester, i know many people who have done that.  An apartment i think would be fine for a baby as long as it is a decent and safe apartment complex, with decent neighbors.
