Benfica want Eduardo Salvio to be Enzo Perez's replacement
Benfica are reportedly considering a move for Atletico Madrid’s Eduardo Salvio as a replacement for Enzo Perez.
Jorge Jesus’s Reds have been trapped in an awkward situation for the last couple of weeks, as their summer signing from Estudiantes, Enzo Perez, has run off to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984.
The attacking midfielder made his name while plying his trade with the Rat Stabbers and also made his debut for the Albiceleste in the process. His abilities attracted the attention of Benfica, who moved in with a €5.5 million deal after the player made
nearly 119 appearances for the Argentine outfit.
However things did not work out for him at Estadio da Luz, as frequent clashes with the coaching staff restricted him to the sidelines and he took to the pitch only 3 times for the Eagles. And since the 27th of December, he has been back in his
homeland and is refusing to return back to Lisbon.
The player has also added that he wants to sign for his former club, who are also open to the idea and are willing to offer him a six-month deal. While Benfica are allegedly looking to press charges, given Perez’s determination to stay in his country, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jorge-c19120
Jesus’ side may have to do without him.
As Perez is now unlikely to play for the Portuguese club ever again following his disciplinary breach, Jorge Jesus has been looking for a replacement and sees http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eduardo-Salvio-c12079 as the ideal candidate.
The 21-year-old was on loan at the Stadium of Light last season and made a favourable impression on the tactician and has recently said that he would like to return to Benfica someday.
"I always said that I would return to Benfica. If I ever want to come back and it is possible, then I would be delighted to return,” he said.
That day may have arrived sooner rather than later, as the Lisbon outfit will suffer if they do not have in-depth quality in their ranks. Eduardo Salvio could also be easily signed, as Atletico Madrid do not require his services and he has been out of favour
at Estadio http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vicente-c36001 Calderon.
