Benfica midfielder Enzo Perez is likely to face disciplinary charges and pay nearly one million dollars as punishment for his decision to remain in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentina-c2841.
The 25-year-old has dominated the headlines in the past few weeks, as he refused to return to Lisbon following the winter holidays. Perez joined the Eagles in the summer but found chances hard to come by at Estadio da Luz.

Instead it was revealed that he wanted to stay in his homeland and ply his trade at his former stomping ground, Estadio Único de La Plata.
The Reds were outraged by the situation and threatened to take legal action against the player, which eventually convinced him to return. After arriving with his agent, Miguel Pires, he met with the Stadium of Light officials, who emphasized the consequences of his actions.
Benfica are now reportedly going to place a whopping $1 million fine on the player but it is also expected that the situation should diffuse after that and Perez could be back in training soon enough.
However his agent had a different opinion and said that there was no point in negotiating with the Lisbon giants and that his client could go back to Estudiantes this winter.
“It is impossible to resume negotiations with Benfica and there is a possibility that Enzo could go back to Estudiantes,” Miguel Pires said.
Benfica president Luis Felipe Veira also commented on the matter and said that the attacking midfielder should keep in mind that the club was above all other things including the players.
"Enzo Perez has to realize that the interests of Benfica are above the interests of any player,” the official was quoted as saying.
The situation with Enzo Perez has gone from bad to worse but if he can payout the fine, then he should be taken back by the Portuguese outfit despite his recent antics.
