Bengal Cats, Are They Good Pets?

Question

I want to know if bengal cats are good pets, I heard that they can not be house trained very easy, Is this true? and I Know they are expensive, but if they are not the best pets then can you give me a good exotic pet?

not good pets...

they are too hyper for most house holds.. especially if not fixed

also they are very inbred so getting one from a good pedigree is VERY important..

I know one person with one and she is the right kind of owner for this kind of cat.. most people are NOT prepared for them.. and are not willing to accept their natural behavior which is more active/destructive than most kitties...

I have lots of pets, from llamas to stick bugs.. and 5 cats.. but wouldnt want a Bengal

you should only own a pet if your ownership improves THEIR life.. not if your life is improved because you own them...

thats a liee!!! jk i have 2! i love them and are the best ive ever had. they love to sleep under my covers and climb up my leg all the time. they can be hyper running around the kitchen and such but are the greatest thing thats happened in my life. they are a touch of the wild side nothing like your domestic. go for it!!! i recommend it!! and ?'s email me at;

we have horses and big animals but they get along with them just fine. we walk them outside (we live on a piece of property)

oh and ours are house trained they know not to go in the kitchen when we are cooking at dont jump on the furniture except their cat tree and they are not always hyper they wind down after the kitten stage.

They act like cats provided that they are at least 3 generations away from the wild.  

I dont know about your desire for an exotic pet.  May I ask why you want one or is it just to have something different?

Make sure whatever it is that it is legal in your area.  I have a ferret which I didnt think was exotic but its on the list and its illegal in some states.
