Hyderabad’s poor batting let them down in this match; however, the grounds men also had their role in this match as the wicket was conducive for bowling, where the bowlers from both sides enjoyed giving the batsmen a tough time.
Although the match continued only for three days, it is still better than a result less draw thanks to an outstanding pitch.
After restricting their opponents on 116, Hyderabad (India) ended the second day of play with 172 for seven. This was yet another disappointing batting performance after they were bowled-out for 115 in their first innings.
However, since they had succeeded in halting their opponents from securing a big lead, there was hope for them to put Bengal on the back foot by posting a big score by the end of their second innings.
SA Quadri and M Hassan came out with tremendous pressure on their shoulders, as it was up to them to end the innings with an intimidating score on the board.

They were soon bowled-out for 181, giving Bengal 181 runs to win. While this score was not big with almost more than a day left in the match, still there was the possibility of Bengal batsmen losing their concentration and crumbling against a challenging bowling attack.
After smacking an opening stand of 32 runs, Bengal lost three quick wickets reducing them to 47.
However, the fourth-wicket partnership between RB Banerjee and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/WP-Saha-c2800 proved fatal for Hyderabad, as the batsmen steered the side towards 126, before Banerjee crumbled after jabbing 56 runs.
With WP Saha unbeaten on 52, Bengal reached the target for the loss of six wickets.
