A focused all-round display from Railways enabled them to secure a 122-run victory over Bengal in their Group A match during the ongoing Ranji Trophy, played from December 29, 2012, to January 1, 2013, at the Jadavpur University Complex in Kolkata.
Bengal won the toss on day one and chose to field first but despite the assaults of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sourav-Sarkar-c2554 (27.2-6-62-4) and Shib Paul (24-7-51-2), the Railways managed to reach a first innings total of 214 before they were all out. The majority of the runs came

The team then proceeded to move into the driving seat during Bengal’s first innings, with Karan Sharma (6.2-1-22-4), http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ranjitkumar-Mali-c2284 (16-5-39-3), and Krishnakant Upadhyay (19-7-30-3) ensuring that the opposition were kept down to a low total. Only three

Bengal attempted to put up a fight during Railways’ second innings, with Jhunjhunwala (14-0-42-3), Veer http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shib-Sankar-Paul-c90013 (23-7-48-2) making valiant attempts to keep the opposition’s batsmen in check. However, a string of steady contributions,
