  1. we live about 20 mins away and often go down for a weekend-something for everyone up to you if you hit the lively centre or go for a quieter option on the outskirts

  2. I met my husband there, it would not win any prizes for outstanding beauty but it does not deserve the seedy reputation it has got, the old town is great and if you want s**t you can have it however if you want the best of both worlds stay in Levante or Calpe which are on the outskirts.

  3. s***k *** working class pakage holiday h**l.

Do not go there unless you want to get some unique souveneirs such as a paternity lawsuit, VD, or verrucca.

    That is all.

  4. I live there. You can find anything you want in Benidorm, and it's not half as bad as some people paint it, it depends on you. It's lively and full of bars and clubs if that's your thing then you'll have a great time

  5. yep been twice and have another 2 times there already booked-its not my favourite place in spain by far but its got most of what everywhere else has-nice beaches cheap food n drink sunshine etc-depends what u are looking for in a holiday

  6. yes it's a dump , full of high rise apts and the worst kind of expats (think fat burnt brits in their 50's) most restuarants and I use that term loosly serve chips bacon and eggs yuck, there is even a rangers bar there called RANGERS BAR , I guess if your into that kind of thing them go for it otherwise go to Alicante or go to Stiges which is about 50 k south of Barcelona

  7. yes, I've been a couple of times and it's nothing like Blackpool. it's a lovely place with lots to see and do, if you like the late night madness it's there for you but if you want a quieter time you can do that too, because it's a big you're not all crowded into one area and the beaches are excellent. from english cafes to good restaurants theres food to suit everyone and it's sunny. my mates there now I wish I was with him.

  8. I lived close to it. How likes it, OK. It is not my taste.

  9. It's a dump these days. They built too many highrise but didn't take account of the sewers needed.

I looked over the rails at the sea ready to go for a swim and I could see the sewerage entering the sea [from the toilets] it was swirling all around the bathers that were then literally soaked in sh*t. Don't bother

  10. yeah i have few years ago when i was 20 stayed in the hotel orange it's a very busy place lots of night life i had a brill time

  11. Yep have been for a long hen weekend in January 2008.  Was alot of fun and the hotel we were at was georgous.

It was not busy time of year though and was full of stag, hen and 30ths.  Ohhhh and all the OAPs.

    Have a fab time!

  12. Only passed through but glad I wasnt staying there.

Having revisited this question I had to ad the following:

I'm intrigued that everyone who answered this question who disliked the place has been given the thumbs down!

The question asker wanted to know our opinions so we gave it. Surely that does not warrant being given the thumbs down.....

Perhaps the ratings were given by people who like it? Anyway the question has no 'right or wrong' answer so whoever has been giving the thumbs down shame on you!

  13. Lots of lovely hotels, lots of them are all inclusive so you wouldnt need to go out to bars if you didnt want to.  Its not a very clean place but entertainment wise there is defintely something for anybody no matter what age group.  The beach is nice and clean and the weather is usually nice.  In the winter months it is usually lots of OAPs there for six months or so so lots of those buggy bike things going about.  I keep saying I am not going back but this time I mean it - the weather is much nicer in the Canaries.
