Following a superb season in Ligue 1 with Dijon, the 25-year-old is a player in demand and several clubs are keeping tabs on the promising midfielder
The Frenchman took everyone by storm in his maiden Ligue 1 campaign with number of impressive outings for the French club.
After helping Dijon win promotion back to Ligue 1 in 2011, Corgnet failed to help his side stay in the top tier of the French football. However, individual performance of the midfielder was very impressive for the relegated club.
Benjamin Corgnet made 36 Ligue 1 appearances for Dijon last season and managed to score 8 goals in the process. And now it seems that Corgnet, who was playing in the fifth tier of the French football few years ago, will stay in Ligue 1 with the likes of
Lille, Bordeaux, Lyon and Marseille keen to hand him a Ligue 1 lifeline.
According to reports, the player wants a move to Lyon as it would benefit him the most in his career at this stage. However, the 25-year-old is still considering his options at the moment and would take a decision regarding his future in the next few days.
"Currently, I must confess that my priority is to sign for Lyon, but there are many complications. I am at home in the Lyon area and it would please my family if I wore the club’s shirt".
Reports claim that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 have made an initial approach to sign the player. Les Gones coach Remi Garde has talked to the player personally and has informed him about Lyon’s plan for the future.
OL have made an offer of 3.5 million Euros for Corgnet that will rise to 4 million Euros, depending on player’s appearances and performance.
Benjamin Corgnet revealed that he has received few offers from abroad but it is unlikely that he will leave http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 this summer.

The midfielder stated that he wants to play regular football and playing for Liverpool or Chelsea would mean no guarantees of the first-team football.
“I would not know my place and I am not ready to throw myself in at the deep end.”
Lyon are hoping to conclude a deal for the Frenchman before the start of next season with the likes of Bordeaux and Lille also monitoring the situation.
