Les Merlus have started the 2012/2013 Ligue 1 campaign in a convincing fashion and are currently fourth in the league with 12 points after 6 games.
Christian Gourcuff's side is in fine form at the moment and only six points behind leaders, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127.
On the other hand, Les Croix de Savoie have been struggling this season and have won only once in the Ligue 1. However, Evian TG have showed some signs of improvements in last couple of games.
Despite Le FCL’s good form, they are not taking the match against Evian easy, and expecting a stern test from a team, who finished the last season on a respectful 9th place.
Lorient midfielder, Benjamin Corgnet, who moved to Stade de Moustoir from Dijon in the summer, is looking forward to the game against Evian.
While talking to reporters, the 25-year-old stated that Les Merlus’ next game will be very tough and Lorient need to be at their best if they want to win at Parc des Sports on Saturday.
Referring to Evian’s last game against Marseille, Corgnet said that Pascal Dupraz’s side played really well against the league leaders despite losing the game in the end. The Frenchman added that Lorient will go for a win and a victory would be great for
players’ morale.
"Evian play well and even though they lost to Marseille, they put them in danger. It will be complicated against them, but it will be up to us to play our game.
“We can hurt them and we must go there convinced of this. We are still unbeaten in the league but we must get maximum points and continue this momentum,” the former Dijon player added.
Corgnet said that he is still learning things about the Ligue 1 and wants to play as many matches as possible in the league.
"I want to play as many matches as possible with Lorient. I have only begun my second year in Ligue 1 and I really want to win here and try to be decisive."
