i bought benjamin moore paint and my sister picked it up as she was going there. i viewed the color online. however, it was not nearly the color i expected it to be when she came home with the paint.. benjamin moore mixes their colors, but what if your not happy as in this situation/ can you return and get your money back? or mix it with another color there?

  1. If it is a "mistint" surely you can.....if it is just unused mixed paint then you cant..if it matches thier swatch on it..then you cant..I hate Benjamin Moore..they have always given me mismatched paint even though they mixed the first batch originally..and only a day or two later..and the same person mixing them.....Do not take no c**p out of them..if it is mistinted and doesnt match the swatch..it is on them...Sherwin Williams  is better on thier mixing paints, more consistant too..Benjamin Moore sucks , is fortified, meaning they add a little oil base in thier latexes..thus causing longer drying time..especially deep tone bases and pastels....It is hard on your tools, clean up...and it is way overrated..it sucks right up there with behr..which is a fortified paint too..and streaks out on you..As mentioned I do not like b moore..but in thier defense..if you viewed the swatch online..this has alot to do with the color settings on your monitor and how periphials are viewed..they may have mixed it properly..lol...THIS TIME...but print out the swatch you picked it from...Like I say..we can adjust our monitors to the hue of color we like..No swatches you view online will be exact to the real color..

  2. I'm not sure if you still can.  You used to be able to, I had to do it once.  If they won't let you return it, see if they can adjust the color that you have.  Maybe add some black to make it darker, or yellow to make it brighter.....ask them they may have some ideas.
