Benoit Cheyrou, who was restricted to a limited number of appearances in Ligue 1 last season, has welcomed the appointment of Elie Baup as new Marseille boss.
The 57-year-old replaced Didier Deschamps at the helm following the resignation of the former Monaco coach, who has been appointed manager of the France national side.
While talking to reporters, the former Auxerre player has claimed that the new coach has added much needed discipline to the team that was clearly lacking under the former coach. Cheyrou believes that Baup is the right man to guide Les Phoceens forward
and help OM regain their former glories.

and has also slammed his old boss in the process.

on field but also off the field.
"There is more rigorous discipline and rule to our daily routines, both on and off the field.”
Cheyrou is happy with the way new coach is running things at Stade Velodrome and feels that it will help Marseille to get better.
“Frankly, it's not going to hurt," he told L'Equipe.
