Benoit Pedretti: AJ Auxerre could end up relegating to Ligue 2 at the end of the season

Pedretti said, “The club is in danger. Many people think we will go down. We have to wake up and rediscover a warrior’s mentality. We are conceding too many early goals and too many goals from set pieces. We came back from the winter break in a bad
place mentally. We thought things would right themselves automatically and did not work hard enough. We’ve had injury problems and the next three games are going to be hard for us”.
“Sorin, Hengbart, and myself have all played in Ligue 2. Believe me, nobody wants to go through that again and nobody wants to play Ligue 2 football”, he concluded.
AJA have not managed to claim a win in their last 12 league matches. Consequently, they have dropped to 17th place in the league table with only a lone point separating them from the danger zone. Auxerre outfit have acquired
26 points from their 25 matches.
AJA were hoping that they would get an easier match through which they can rebuild their morale after they were defeated 3 – 0 by FC Grindions de Bordeaux. However, it was not the case, as Auxerre outfit will clash with the Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-German
in their upcoming encounter at Stade de l’Abbe-Deschamps on Saturday.

With 13 matches left to play in the season, AJA have a good chance to finish the season claiming a respectable position. Auxerre outfit will have to strengthen up their back line if they want improve their standings in the league table. However, any
