Aston Villa’s stand in captain and striker Darren Bent has urged his teammates to improve on last season’s woeful home form, which saw the side pick up only four wins at Villa Park.
Last season was arguably Aston Villa’s worst ever run in the Premier League. They only managed to win four out of their nineteen home games, and narrowly avoided getting relegated under former boss http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 McLeish.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Darren-Bent-c10358 has acknowledged this fact and is confident that Villa will be able to improve upon their form, and has sworn to pay back the fans after their enormous support for the team last season, despite Villa’s poor campaign.

to make up for the team’s failures last season.
Speaking to the local Birmingham press, Bent said:
"Even during our tough season last time out, the Holte End was still singing, chanting and getting right behind us. They were supporting us 100 percent. It's a great place to play football at Villa Park.”
"But last season our home form let us down and we need to improve on that this season. We want fans to wake up and think 'yes it's match day, we're off to Villa Park.’”
Villa fans recently launched a campaign to encourage supporters to take items such as scarves, inflatable balloons etc. to create an atmosphere that lifts up the players and spurs them on. Bent has acknowledged and backed the campaign, and expressed his
delight.
"I know there’s a new campaign around where fans are being encouraged to really unite in the Holte End, with scarves and balloon and things like that.”
“I am all for it! It’s all good fun, it creates an added atmosphere in the stadium and the lads would love it.”
The striker is looking to make up for last season’s disappointments, and finds comfort at the fact that the club has already started signing new players and is on the road towards progress. Villa recently signed three players from the Dutch league, and Bent
is looking forward to playing with them once the new season begins.
