The Juventus chief has reaffirmed that the Italian striker, currently on duty for the European Championship, is very much part of Juventus plans for the future.
There has been intense speculation on the future of the diminutive striker, after he caught attention of a host of clubs with his energetic performances for Parma over the past two seasons.
Parma have been in co-ownership of the star along with Juventus, with a 50-50 partnership of the two sides.
There have been advanced talks between the two clubs over the future of the young star, with Juventus keen on acquiring full ownership of the player. The deal would be around the region of 11 million euros, which would see the Gialloblu surrender their ownership
of the player.
Speculation also stated that the Bianconeri were acquiring the player to sell him ahead for a profit to other parties interested in acquiring the services of the former Juventus youth prodigy.
The Director General of the Turin based club was talking to the media while attending the Lega Serie A headquarters, and during his interview he made sure that he got the point across of keeping the star for the Juventus squad and not to be sold on profit.
He further went on to state:
“We are redeeming Giovinco because we want him to stay at Juventus. This is a product of our youth system, who has gained experience in the provinces and now it is right to give him an opportunity reflective of his value.”
Juventus has been very active in the transfer window and they had vowed to strengthen their squad for retaining the Scudetto as well as competing well in the UEFA Champions League.

“Destro, yes, we are interested in him, but he’s also interesting other clubs. Borini is a great player, but we can’t go for everyone.”
Juventus remained undefeated in their Serie A campaign, eventually pipping Milan to the Serie A title.
