The sporting director of Juventus has not hidden his admiration for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stevan-Jovetic-c34163; however, he has spoken of his dismay at the price sought by Fiorentina.
Beppe Marotta has been busy in the transfer market looking to acquire a top class striker for the club, however, there have been some inconveniences faced by the Juventus management.
Juventus have not hidden their desire to splash the cash for a world class striker. Robin Van Persie has continuously been linked with the Bianconeri, and Juventus are willing to pay his 7.5 million Euros salary. Speculation escalated
after the player stated his intent of not signing an extension to his contract; however, reports suggest that Van Persie might not be interested in a move to the Serie A, with Manchester City being his likely destination.
The Bianconeri have also been heavily linked with a move for the Uruguayan striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 with a plethora of goals. The striker is seen as an ideal fit for their style of play, but Napoli
are not willing to part ways with the striker.
There had been speculation that Juve offered to pay 40 million Euros for the star and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Matri-c4733 making his way to the Partenopei outfit. However, Napoli rebuffed the attempts; Matri has a buyout clause of 70 million Euros,
a valuation which Juventus are not willing to match.
Fiorentina went on to state that they would not be listening to any offers less than 30 million Euros for their prized asset. This has made the club re-evaluate their stance, and Marotta went on to state, that it is deemed excessive
by the Turin outfit.
He went on state:
“Do Juve have €30m for Jovetic? It’s a big request. Everyone is free to determine the price they want. It’s a legitimate right, but we have not entered into negotiations with Fiorentina. €30m is difficult and for now we will not
talk about it.”
The Juve chief went on to state on the possibility of Van Persie arriving at the club, and remarked:
“The fans like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380? You have to have dreams and ambitions, but then we must also deal with the reality of the facts. We know what we are doing and that is the most important thing.”
