The Bulgarian has found himself out of favour at Old Trafford, with Galatasaray being touted as his next destination.
Life for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dimitar-Berbatov-c11254 has gone so backwards that he himself could not have imagined his current situation in one of his worst nightmares.
Last season it was a joy to watch the former Bayern Leverkusen man, his inert ability to create something spectacular out of the ordinary was a sight which few could match in the game.
Goals were seen as his major weakness, but Berbatov unleashed his most prolific period in a Red Devils’ shirt by scoring nearly 20 in the 2010/2011 campaign.  Finally it seemed that the player had become the commodity for which Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson had paid
an outrageous amount of money for.
However the rise of a certain Mexican meant that opportunities for the forward began to decline and the season that been the focal point of his United career, ended on the lowest of lows, as he did not even make the match day squad in the UEFA Champions
League final.
With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-c10193 Welbeck’s ascension from an Academy graduate to a finished product, Berbatov has cascaded even further down the pecking order and this campaign has featured in a meager amount of games.
Surely his career at Old Trafford is drawing to an unceremonious close and according to the latest reports, Galatasaray are eager to offer him a new lease on life and start things a fresh in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Turkey-c3026.
The Super Liga giants have been annual contenders in the UEFA Champions League for the better part of the last decade and boast some big names in their squad.
With the likes of former Premier League stars Emmanuel Eboue, Milan Baros and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Johan-Elmander-c18782 at the helm, there will be familiar faces for Berbatov in the dressing room if he does indeed sign for the club.
United as well are open to the possibility of the former Bulgarian International parting ways with them and could sell him for a bargain price compared to one which they paid Tottenham in 2008.
An entertainer if not the most lethal striker ever, Berbatov’s charisma and ability to enthrall the red half of Manchester had made him a fan favourite, who is unlikely to be forgotten in a hurry.
