Kurban Berdyev has assured the fans of helping the Russian Premier League club in winning more silverware and explained his decision to resign from the presidential post
Following the meeting with the board of trustees chaired by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and head of Kazan Maxim Lopukhov, Kurban Berdyev has decided to extend his stay at Tsentralnyi stadium.
The main issue or the agenda of the meeting was to discuss why Berdyev is having issues with the management. They held a meeting after news in Russian media started linking the 60-year-old manager to a host of top European clubs
in the near future.
But Berdyev, whose contract was to expire on 31 December this year, has now ended the speculations after signing a new deal at the Russian Premier League club.
“Kurban Berdyev will retain his managerial post at Rubin. The new agreement with the coach has been designed for 2.5 years.” The official twitter account of the Russian outfit revealed.
While talking to the media, Berdyev has expressed his delight after signing a new long term deal which will see him remain as the Russian outfit’s manager until June, 2015.
Though Berdyev extended his stay at the Kazan-based club after the second meeting with the board of trustees, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Taraz-c39224 boss has resigned from the post of vice-president at the club.
“I am grateful to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the board of trustees for the trust. I honestly say that I will try to keep doing everything for the club that depends on me.”
“I myself resigned from the vice-president post and I think I made the right decision. This will allow me to spend more time to direct the team. I did this because I want to solely concentrate and maintain my focus on the team,”
The Russian Super Cup winner was quoted as saying.
When asked about what positions the club intends to reinforce during the upcoming winter transfer window, Berdyev denied to answer the questions and directed the media to ask Rubin’s General Director, Andrey Gromov.
