Kurban Berdyev has commented on the recent conflicts in the Russian Premier club and has also talked about the role of the former sports director, Rustem Saymanov
The former Rubin Kazan athletic director, Rustem Saymanov, has been released from prison on parole earlier than the initial period of the proposed imprisonment. This decision was made by the District Court Tatarstan today.
The 50-year-old Russian national, who worked at Tsentralnyi stadium back in 2007, was penalized by the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan following his involvement with a criminal group.
Saymanov, who has been sentenced to around eight years in penal colony (prosecution insisted on a total 13 years imprisonment) was arrested along with other members of the group in May 2008.
Kurban Berdyev has expressed a desire to work with Saymanov again, insisting that he would love to see the former Sporting director back at his position at the Kazan-based club in the near future.
And there is little arguing to the statement that Saymanov helped the Volzhane in winning back-to-back league titles in 2008 and 2009 respectively.
"First of all, I think what happened in the past should not be considered very much. Secondly, I would like to say my opinion. But I would love to see Saymanov back at this club as we had a good time and he certainly helped the
club beyond any doubt.”
“He has now become a normal http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Citizen-c38808 just like anybody else after completing the period of his punishment," the Russian Super Cup winner was quoted as saying.
Berdyev went on to lament the situation at the club where players have not been paid salaries for the past two months. However, the Turkmen told that the Russian outfit will soon fix their wage arrears.
“We understand this critical situation but I think the players know they will get it. There have been some delays in the past but I hope it will be solved.” He concluded.
Earlier, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roman-Eremenko-c31621 left the location of the club after falling out with the manager over the salary issue. However, denied these reports, saying that the Finnish International is cooperative.
