Bergamo long weekend - want to lie in the sun also explore?

Hi,

I'm off to Bergamo late June for a long weekend and was wondering where would be best to go that is close by. Maybe a lake etc? We would like to stay in a hostel/somewhere v.cheap....and just chill for a weekend...were students and would possibly even look at a campsite?! We wouldn't hire a car and would be flying into BGY (Bergamo).

Bergamo Alto - the old part of the city is a great place to explore.

There should be bus service to take you above Bergamo to walk in the pre-alps. You can lay in the sun in the county side without the inconvenience of have to change (and dry) swimming suits and towels.
