Arsenal legend, Dennis Bergkamp has gone on to admit that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robin-van-Persie-c31380 has been exceptional for the Gunners and the way the forward has been handling all the pressure is remarkable.
The Dutch forward has gone on to score twenty nine goals for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 this term and his over all performances have been outstanding. The striker is easily the North London club’s best player this season and should he continue to play the way he has been,
he could easily help the team finish in the top four.
Apart from praising his performances this season, Bergkamp has gone on to applaud Van Persie’s ability to change roles depending on the team’s requirement.
The forward used to play as a more creative player in the past, but has started to adjust to playing as lone striker and has been doing exceptionally well in that role.
Bergkamp hasn’t let this change go unnoticed and when talking about the forward is quoted to have said: "I think it’s easier for a guy like Robin or me to play behind the striker, and feed the main striker and sometimes get the space to do your own thing"
"But basically he is the one up front who has to make a difference, which puts a lot of pressure on him, but it seems like he can deal with it. He has been playing in a role which is very difficult.”
"It seems he can make the difference time after time and in my opinion that describes a great player. It’s fantastic how he has developed himself, and players like that deserve trophies. So I honestly hope that comes soon, because his character and style of
play is fantastic."
The former Gunner also went on to admit that Van Persie had always impressed him, even when he was a new player at the North London club and had just started training with the team.
Bergkamp admitted that the striker had all the qualities and attributes to become one of the best in the business and that is why he isn’t surprised to see the player become the player that he is today.
