  1. The Automatic Category picker stuck your question in Genealogy, the study of old dead ancestors and family trees.

You would do better to use the telephone book. Call a couple of caterers. They should know if there are castles to rent. People who rent castles (or space in them) usually have the meal catered. Or, look up "Party House" in the yellow pages. The name may be different; they may be under "Banquet Hall" or "Facility Rental".

If anyone is still in the office at Stoksey Castle, they may be able to suggest a place.

  2. Isn't there a place called Hendel House in Reading? If my memory serves me well, it's a nice Victorian mansion that can be rented out. I went to a conference there a couple of years ago and it was kind of "castle-like".

  3. Follow Ted's advice.  I do have ancestors from Berks County, but know nothing about the place nowadays.
