  1. Here's a few attractions that are free to experience in Berlin:

East Side Gallery - The world's longest open air gallery

Topography of Terror - the former SS/Gestapo HQ

Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe - right next to the Brandenburg Gate

Berlin Wall Documentation Center - a museum about that big concrete barrier

  2. Berlin sucks .... poor, filthy, unfriendly and run by communists. Many n***s in the streets attacking foreigner ..so sad....  I recommend in Germany cities like Hamburg or Cologne. More fun ... the people are much friendlier.

  3. Berlin is the most wonderful place on earth. You should go see Nefertiti.

  4. Berlin Mitte (Friedrichstr. and Check Point Charlie)

    Potsdamer Platz

    Pergamom Museum

    Gemäldegalerie

    Charlottenburg Palace

just look here there are tons of things to do and see

and while you are there don't forget to visit Potsdam close to Berlin

  5. There aren't any -  it's a boring, ugly city.  I'd recommend you stay home.

  6. I never visit this city but love to visit Berlin. I really also appreciate of Napoleon

  7. Well it would really depend what you are interested in.

I love history and culture, so I was thrilled to have a visit to the Concert Hall (in the French Market Place) to hear some classical music was fantastic, and so was a trip to see a play in an old fashioned Berlin theatre. And the cost is so reasonable! Anyone really can afford to go and there are so many venues!

The tour of the Reichstag (Parliament House) was fantastic ~ it has a huge glass dome on top which visitors can walk up and into, and see the city spread out below, it's absolutely fantastic.

The old palace of the Kaiser, Sans Souci at Potsdam is a beautiful day out, there is a lot to see and do there. It is in Potsdam, which is near Berlin, but easy to get to and an interesting drive past things like an old 'Russian Village', very fascinating.

Another thing I enjoyed was the so very diverse architecture of the city, and the public artworks. You can see a lot from one of the boat tours on the Spree River, which are a very enjoyable way to see the city from a slightly different angle.

The city itself is so 'pedestrian friendly', you can walk anywhere, and the footpaths are good. However, the public transport system is also excellent and very cheap.

It was also fun visiting the Ka De We, the huge old fashioned department store that once was the centre of shopping for west Berlin. It has loads of great stuff, but is also like a walk back into a time now past when there were two Germanies.

Another enjoyable trip was to the Ampelmann shop in Hackesche Hoefe, Hof 5.

This building is very well known in Berlin as an 'art deco' building of great elegance and originality. Once located just inside East Berlin, it became quite shabby, but has been restored to elegance and is now very modern and a place for well off Berliners to live. The shopping is interesting ~ Perla sells the MOST amazing beads, some from Murano, some from Brazil, just gorgeous, and of course the Ampelmann shop has to be seen to be believed. GREAT souvenirs!

There are loads of art galleries, museums, and tourist-y places, and so much to see.

I've put a couple of links below!

    Hope you have fun :-)

  8. Well, there's Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz, the "Gedaechtnis Kirche" (bombed out church), Ku'Damm, Friedrichstrasse, lots of museums, the Pergamon (incredible), Berliner Catherdral, the T.V. tower, checkpoint charlie if you're interested in the history of the wall.

There are also great clubs and cafes to go to.  I suggest just hoping around the city on the public transportation and taking in the main areas of Potsdamer Platz, Friedrichstrasse and the Ku'Damm.

  9. google it. There's something for everyone.
