Berliners please help me?

hi ... i'm going to berlin next week (from sat 14 to sun 23) and I know there's a public transport strike (u-bahn, buses ...) can you please update me about it ... do I have to buy a new quite comfortable pair of shoes ...

I never been to Berline, but I found info.
