Berlitz language program?

about how much does it cost for tutoring or an after school program for a teenager to learn german? is it good? does it work? would i be better off just learning the language online, as i've been doing?

Berlitz is extremely expensive but they have a good reputation. Learning the language in the host country always helps, but that depends on you and your finances.

Learning online is just as good as in a classroom if you have a teacher who knows what he or she is doing!

I would charge you about $15/hr. Berlitz  is okay, as would be tutoring, but your best bet is to go to Germany (wouldn't recommend Austria or Switzerland if you're just beginning to learn German) and immerse yourself in the culture- you'll learn it in no time at all. Do you have an opportunity at your school to get information on exchange programs? Don't waste any more time- talk to your counselor and your parents, or find a program on your own with which you can go abroad for an entire year for starters, and you'll really be glad you did it. You'll be fluent in German beyond your wildest dreams, and very culturally enlightend after your experience abroad. I didn't do it until I graduated college, but it was the best experience ever, and I ended up living in Germany for 16 years.
