Silvio Berlusconi, President of the AC Milan outfit, has gone on to state that had there been any option of holding on to all the key players, they would have done so.
The writing on the wall was clear the moment that the Rossoneri outfit parted ways with their best players in the middle of the transfer window. The thing that irked many fans of the club was the fact that the Rossoneri outfit failed to acquire any big names
after the departure of many of the Senators at the club along with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903.
Despite being heavily linked with the prospect of signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Adriano-c3773 Galliani stated that a deal could not materialise due to financial
constraints. It was understood that the Madrid outfit were looking for a permanent deal to be struck between Milan for the Brazilian international. However, it was understood that the Rossoneri had a loan deal in mind with the Spanish outfit paying for a portion
of the wages of Kaka as well. However, this was not acceptable to Madrid and the deal fell through.
Silvio Berlusconi has come out to the defence of his club and that of the Vice President of the club, by stating that there is regret over the transfer activities in the summers, but he went on to state that it was not possible for them to hold on to the
immensely talented players.
He remarked that no one could have resisted the savings that the deal gave them and stated that the fans need to be patient. The former Italian Prime Minister went on to state:
“There is regret over Ibra, but you have to do the maths. We saved €130m with their sales and nobody, during this economic climate, would have turned that down. You see real fans in times of difficulty. I expect the team to be supported. After 26 years of
caviar and champagne, patience is needed.”
The Italian outfits are not as financially wealthy as their counterparts across Europe.
