What do people think that B-Hop should do now?

Hes 43 years old, I think he's done enough for his career.

He is also obviously going into the Hall Of Fame

I think he should just hang up the gloves.

What do you think?

  1. I agree!

  2. Its unanymous....he should hang up the gloves.  Actually he should have never lied to his mama.

He promised his mama not to fight after his 40th bday.  He should have kept his word.  What he has done in the past three years is remarkable for a 43 yr old man, but it is less than remarkable for a world class fighter.  Hopkins should have the dignity and self respect to conduct himself as a world class boxer and not an old man.

  3. He is a living legend, and I think that the Calzaghe fight proved that if it was the Hopkins of 2001 or before, it would have easily been a victory for B-Hop.  I don't think that he should fight anymore because there are no more opponents out there that are worth it to him and whether he wants to admit it or not, "Father Time" has caught up with him.  You're right, he is a first-ballot hall of famer and his record speaks for itself; it was great watching him and for me even more so because he was one of my favorite fighters.  He can and will be included in the group of fighters that you look back on 20 years from now and say, "Wow, he was great..."

  4. As sad as it is for me to say, yes Bernard's era is over. I mean if you seen the fight tonight you should know that Bernard is done. He has been my favorite boxer for as long as I can remember. Calzaghe looked like the bum he is, neither of their performances were impressive. You could tell Bernard did not have the explosivness he once had. All's he needed was a little more spark like he had when he fought Jermaine Taylor. Mark my word Calzaghe will lose to either Roy Jones or Kelly Pavlik, Joe chose to fight the easiest fight and struggled for the win. Theres no chance in this world that he will be able to beat Kelly Pavlik, about a 30% chance of beating Roy Jones. Anyway it's sad to say it but Bernard Hopkins is done, he's gotta let it go.

  5. I would say that the dentist is the foremost thing in Hopkins' future.

  6. I think he should hang up his gloves --- He seems to enjoy the spotlight & could probably enhance his celebrity career & learn a few social graces by taking a cue from PBF &  Evander by appearing on " Dancing with the Stars "

  7. He should retire. He acted like a clown in the ring against Calzaghe. Got lucky in the first round, but then did nothing but hold the rest of the fight. the ref (cortez) should be retired also for not taking any points from Hopkins for continually holding Calzaghe's right arm during the entire fight.

If he wants to continue then let him fight Clinton Woods another fighter that should hang it up.
