While talking to the media, Olympique Lyonnais’ advisor, Bernard Lacombe said that he had high hopes of young striker Mohamed Yattara who is currently on loan at Arles-Avignon

“He’s a pretty exceptional player. I think, we can remember his name. The last time I said this for someone was for Karim Benzema.”
The statements given by Bernard Lacombe, special advisor to Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas speak volumes of the talent of the young striker.
In 2009, Lacombe already sensed enormous potential in the striker. The potential is now being confirmed by many players including young defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dejan-Lovren-c10779.
“I remember Lovren came to see me at the end of training. He had congratulated him (Yattara) and told him he had struggled against him,” says Lyon legend Fleury Di Nallo who has in his career seen some talented youngsters gone on to become big stars.
Inure to such talent, Les Gones decided to send Yattara on loan to a Ligue 2 club in order to get some valuable experience. Carefree and happy with the move, the youngster showed just why Bernard Lacombe, Dejan Lovren and Fleury Di Nallo rate him so highly.
In eleven appearances, Yattara has already scored five goals which is a phenomenal average for such a young player.
Di Nallo has been keeping a watchful eye on the youngster and is the youngster’s handler.
“There were already two Ligue 1 clubs who called me for him,” said the Lyon legend who has been impressed with the Guinean talent.
However, despite his performances, the youngster will be returning to Lyon late this season.

The question is whether, despite his boundless ambitions, the youngster would be able to compete with the likes of Lisandro Lopez, Bafetimbi Gomis and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-Lacazette-c4895 or not. Regardless of all competition, Yattara has certainly shown signs of talent
that should be handled carefully and the player should be protected by Lyon.
