Brest’ Bernard Mendy, who played over 100 games for Paris Saint-Germain from 2000 to 2008, has revealed a plan about stopping Ibrahimovic from scoring on Friday. a doubt and stopping him would be very tough.
Mendy joked that he would consider using baseball bats and dogs in order to stop Ibrahimovic. However, the defender knows that Brest need to be at their best if they want to get something out of Friday’s game.
“If we have to put a reducer in on Zlatan, I'll be first in the queue. He's a black belt in taekwondo, but I have baseball bats and dogs in the car.”
"Joking aside, it's a good game for us to test ourselves. When I played for PSG, opponents were always more motivated; we'll be the same."
Talking about his time with the Paris giants, Mendy said that he loved his time at Parc des Princes and he is still a big fan of the Ile giants, and has backed his former club to win the Championelle this season.
"I played in Paris for seven years, and I'm still a fan, especially against Marseille. Whatever happens (in the title race), I'm right behind PSG,” the former France international said.
The 31-year-old added that it will be an emotional night for him but stressed that he will do his best to help Brest get a positive result.
"I don't know what I'll do on Friday. There will be a lot of emotion."
