The former Italian international striker was of the opinion that Italy was at the forefront of health checkups for footballers, and was bemused by Morosini’s
death.
The forward has plied his trade in nearly all the major leagues of Europe and is currently playing in the American Major League Soccer (MLS). He has played for various clubs
in Italy, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 and England. While reflecting on his travels and his experiences at the clubs, Corradi feels that he has enough exposure to testify that his home country is at the forefront of preventing medical-related issues in football.
There have been cries of greater and stricter testing for footballers around Italy and Europe for that matter, after the tragedy of witnessing Piermario Morosini’s death
during the Serie B clash of Pescara vs. Livorno. The reason for the outcry is also because of the fact that the midfielder was young and just 25 years of age.

Corradi reflected on his experiences when he broke into the first team, and stated that they were frequently checked and tested for the full calendar year, and that it was
hard for him to gauge when hearing such news.
The former Manchester City striker was giving an interview to Radio RTL, and was quoted to have said:
“I have played in many different Leagues and can say Italy is at the vanguard in terms of prevention and medical testing. When you start becoming part of the first team,
you are continually tested throughout the whole year, so it’s difficult to understand how this could happen.”
He reflected on the difference in the importance attributed to medical check-ups around the world in comparison to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926, and mentioned:
“I came here to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390 they do
two anti-doping tests per year, whereas in Italy two players in every team are tested in each game.”
Upon hearing the news of Morosini’s death, it has come to the attention of many people that there were many players who were disallowed to play in the Serie A after they
were discovered to have heart problems.
