Meanwhile Fraser, who is now poised at an outright second on the leaderboard was barely happy with his performance.
Winner of the Ballantine’s Championship in 2010 played at Jeju Island, Fraser carded a second round of five-under, 67 against his humble beginnings of one-under, 71 the previous day.
Fraser said, “Today I couldn't really do anything wrong really. It felt like everything was going in the right direction. I’m just trying to hit a lot of greens and try and hit on the right spots, which is important here. It's a tricky golf course when you hit into the wrong places”.
Starting from back nine, Fraser carded four birdies in his unblemished back nine, with two of them coming on the closing holes.
Boosted by the strong closing on the back, Fraser went over to bag two more birdies on the opening holes on the front nine.
He dropped a shot soon after the birdies, at the treacherous par-three, 3rd and managed to card a birdie before dropping another shot at par-three, 7th.
Fraser agreed with most of the players that the conditions were much better on the second day of the event as compared to the opening day which turned out to be windy and the play was suspended in the later part of the day.
Fraser said, “Obviously yesterday was very windy, pretty tricky for everybody. And then today was completely different. We basically had no wind for most of the day and then it kicked up a little bit over the last maybe five, six holes. But overall”.
Swede Oscar Floren shot a five-under, 67 on the second day of the event to emerge as a strong contender of the title and finished for an outright third place behind Fraser.
Floren is also one of the budding European Tour players who recently qualified for the mainstream tour through his victory on the Challenge Tour at the Swalec Wales Open in August, 2010.
Floren started off from the front nine and fell for an early bogey on the opening hole.
He quickly recovered from early loss and pulled in consecutive birdies on third and fourth before dropping another shot at par-three, 7th.
