Bernie Ecclestone: There is still a lot to come from Sebastian Vettel – Formula 1 news
Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone has said that he believes there is still a lot to come from Red Bull Racing driver Sebastian Vettel in the rest of the 2011 Formula 1 season.
Ecclestone added that the German is the most talented driver of the sport at the moment and that he is sure he will be the better driver amongst everyone in the future.
Vettel won nine races in the 2011 Formula 1 season so far. He is leading all the drivers in the 2011 championship battle with 309 points.
Ecclestone commented, “Sebastian has an absolute will to succeed but has stayed much grounded. No win, however big, will stop him being grounded. That is immensely important in this business. Seb is relaxed and will always remain true to himself - that is
why things come easy.”
He added, “With Adrian Newey they obviously have a design whiz, but it also has something to do with the mentality of the whole team. Everybody there desperately wants to win - and win more. They are true to the motto 'show me a happy loser and I'll show
you a loser'.”
The Formula 1 supremo also stated that the current world champion still has room for improvement and that he can show much more on the grid in the future as compared to what he has shown so far.
Red Bull Racing driver Vettel took a very strong start to the 2011 Formula 1 season, as he won most of the races in the initial stages in order to challenge this year’s title.
The 24-year-old driver is fighting for his second championship since the start of the season. After completing 14 races, he is sitting at the top place with a massive gap of 124 points from the other drivers.
Vettel needs only one point to win 2011 championship at the moment.
On the other hand, Vettel is looking forward to his next race victory in the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix taking place on October 9, 2011 at the Suzuka circuit.
Let’s see whether Vettel manages his tenth race victory at Suzuka circuit next weekend.
