Bernie Ecclestone, the brains behind the technological revolution in the Formula One has been quite a character this year. The 80 year old mastermind has had a lot of personal problems in the past and it seems that he is still
not done with them even though he is not at an age when a man experiences ‘relationship problems’
Bernie was recently mugged for jewellery worth
£200,000 pounds after being punched and kicked to the ground by robbers as they stole the valuables from his girlfriend. And no, his girlfriend is not 80.
Fabiana Flosi, was a witness to this horrific sight and Bernie had to be taken to the hospital as he received a head injury. Four robbers waited for the couple to reach the central London Building where Bernie has a penthouse overlooking
Hyde Park.
His 31 year old girlfriend was obviously helpless as she watched her elderly boyfriend get ambushed by the muggers before they ordered the couple to give everything they had which included jewellery, watches and diamond rings.
Miss Flosi, a lawyer, sports marketing agent and model, could only look on in terror as her elderly boyfriend was beaten by the thieves.
The 80 year old boss was lucky enough to survive and get away with this incident with just minor injuries that were treated after he was taken to the hospital before returning to his regular working hours a short while later.
The gang was able to get away with the loot. The Scotland Yard robbery squad investigated the event but until now, has neither found nor arrested the gang of robbers.
“We were called to reports of a man and woman who had been robbed in South West London at approximately 10.30pm on Wednesday night. The man, aged 80 years old, was taken to a West London hospital for treatment to a minor head injury.
The woman was not injured,” according to a Police spokesman.
It seems that it is not possible anymore to catch the robbers since it is quite obvious that they were well trained and experienced and have quietly gotten away.
“At this early stage it is believed a quantity of jewellery was stolen but we cannot disclose details of what was stolen as yet. No arrests have been made at this time and inquiries are continuing,” added the spokesman.
