Bernie Macs Death? How did this happen!!!!!?!?

Complications of pneumonia.  Now you understand the shock us older folk felt when Jim Henson died of the same thing.  The only difference was Bernie Mac was in the hospital for a few days.  Jim Henson died in hours.

pnuemonia, but he had a disease called sarcoidosis and they say it had nothing to do with it but proberbly didnt help. I liked him so young.You never know when your gonna ride that iron horse to the sky.

The guy wasn't particularly healthy to begin with...I believe he was diabetic and had Hypertension.  So it's not particularly surprising he couldn't survive pneumonia.  PEACE!

though Pnemonia ultimately killed him. The disease that he had (sarcoidosis) certainly contributed to his death. It is a debilitating Orphaned disease that gets little exposure. Also contributed to Reggie White (nfl) dying. He died from sleep apneia..But it was complicated by Sarcoidosis..I wish this fact would be more publisized.I have this disease. Though many get over it

themselves..there are many more of us that go through an escrutiating

life style due to it. Can effect any organ in the body..It is actually an immune system disease not lung..But lung and skin are usually the first organs attacked..rest in peace Bernie. I am hoping your death

will not be forgotten.More studies need to be developed for this disease. Without public knowledge and funding..this will never happen..Bill Russell (nba) and angie stone (singer).are two other

fairly well known people are are afflicted with this disease..Blacks

are affected more severely than any other nationality...but not the

only people that get it. Prayers to Bern's family and to anyone else

with this god forsaken disease.

If it was sever enough for Bernie. he was probably on plaqunil which

surpresses the immune system to compensate for the disease. If the

sarcoidosis didnt directly kill him..then the treatment for the

disease in all liklihood contributed, RIP

Sarcodisis is mainly a black diseas that goes to the lung tissue, he dies of pneumnonia as a result of the disease

Comedian Bernie Mac died this morning from complications of pneumonia, his publicist announced today. Mac was admitted to a Chicago hospital on August 1st with pneumonia and rumors quickly began to circulate that he was in serious condition or was already dead.

His publicist, Danica Smith, denied these rumors throughout the week, saying only that Mac was “responding well to treatment” and was expected to be released from the hospital soon. Mac’s death was reportedly unrelated to his previous diagnosis of Sarcoidosis disease. He was 50 years old.

Mac was admitted to a Chicago hospital on Friday to receive treatment for pneumonia. Since his heath condition was first reported, massive rumors began swirling around the Net about how critically ill he might be—or if he was actually already dead.

Mac's publicist, Danica Smith, continued to tell the press throughout the week that Mac was still being treated for pneumonia in a Chicago hospital, was responding well to treatment and was expected to be released from the hospital soon.

However, other sources, such as ShowbizSpy.com, reported that Mac wass in "critical condition" right from the beginning and some gossip outlets began speculating that the comedian was near death.

Mac’s publicist announced on Saturday morning that the celebrated comedian had died. “[He] passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital,” Smith told People.com. “No other details are available at this time. We ask that his family’s privacy continues to be respected.”

The comedian and actor was diagnosed in 1993 with sarcoidosis disease, an autoimmune disorder that can cause inflammation of organs such as the lymph nodes and lungs, but the disease was currently in remission and was reportedly not the cause of his pneumonia.
