Bernina Activa 130/131

Question

My dog chewed thru the cord on my foot control. I attempted to repair which worked for a while, but now when I plug it into the sewing machine, the machine races full speed and I'm not able to control it with the foot control. On-line searches show a replacement (part #LV-1) is $130. Does anybody know of a site where I can purchase a new foot control at a more reasonable price?
