My wife has a Virtuosa 160+ and some of her sewing friends have either this machine or the Activa. Several of them have suffered what seem to be similar faults. This has involved replacing what I am afraid I can only describe as the black bobbin spindle inside the bobbin cover (the shaft that the bobbin case fits on). The original sheared off during sewing, rendering the machine unusable. Fortunately, the machine is still in warranty (less than a year old, in fact) - has anybody else had similar problems, though?
